One of the important reason I still work in this beautiful campus is my attachment to Lord Mary. This University is named and blessed in the name of our Lord’s mother, the blessed Mary. For those who are in troubles and need immediately help from our mother, follow the prayers that I am posting here. I am sure the holy mother will hear your prayers and bless you with all the success in your life. Its my testimony.

I am deeply impressed by the culture of Finnish people to respect other people and their country. It was really amazing these finnish beauties made their steps according to the Hindi Songs.

I am writing this post with tears and a very deeply saddened heart. I love Steve Jobs and his vision towards satisfying the needs of the human world. All his products were designed to entertain people and make it user friendly. He knew what people looking for and had the extra ordinary talents to make his dreams come true.. Oh dear Steve, you will be living in billions of people’s hearts though you are not here with us….

I am really sad to hear that Steve Jobs resigned from the post of CEO of Apple Inc. He was a real marketer more than a technocrat in this I T era. The way he introduced his hi tech products such as ipod, iPhone, iPad are all extremely brilliant and the whole world listened to his worlds at WWDC. He was an extra ordinary guy to forecast what people want from Apple and how to deliver them to his people.

I am attaching some pics of Steve jobs during his past years in Apple as a loving memory of him. Hope he will still be a motivation for all apple employees and apple fans worldwide. I wish him all success as the Chairman of the board of Management of Apple.

Today August 15th is the Assumption Day of our University. It is the rememberance day of our Patron, Mother Mary who is taken to heaven from this world by her son and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let me share you some interesting information facts about the most valuable Technology company in the world- Apple Inc. All of us know their products now available in Apple stores world wide. I like to give you some flashback of what Apple was before.

Apple computer company was invented by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak on April 1, 1976 while introducing Apple I computer. Later on January 3rd 1977, they incoporated the company in Cupertino, California with the finance ( $250,000-$80,000 as an equity investment in the company and $170,000 as a loan) borrowed from Mike Markkula, one of the billionaires at that time. Mike Markkula was the company’s second CEO also during the period 1981 to 1983 and served apple as the Chairman of the company until 1987.

The picture below is the first Apple computer also known as Apple I invented by both Jobs and Wozniak. All the design and architecture developed by Steve Wozniak for this one.

The machine had only a few notable features. One was the use of a TV as the display system, whereas many machines had no display at all. This was not like the displays of later machines, however; text was displayed at a terribly slow 60 characters per second. However, this was still faster than the teletypes used on contemporary machines of that era. The Apple I also included bootstrap code on ROM, which made it easier to start up. Finally, at the insistence of Paul Terrell, Wozniak also designed a cassette interface for loading and saving programs, at the then-rapid pace of 1200 bit/s.

Apple II

The Apple II series is a set of 8 bit home computers, one of the first highly successful mass-produced micro computer products,designed primarily by Steve Wosniak, manufactured by Apple Computer and introduced in 1977.It is the first model in a series of computers which were produced until Apple production ceased in November 1993.

Despite the introduction of the Motorola 68000-based Apple Lisa system in 1983, and its more successful cousin the Macintosh in 1984, the relatively unsophisticated Apple II series was Apple’s primary revenue source for most of the following decade. At its peak, it was a billion-dollar-a-year industry with its associated community of third-party developers and retailers. The Apple IIGS was sold until the end of 1992; the last II-series Apple in production, the IIe, was discontinued on October 15, 1993.

Apple III
By the early 1980s, Apple Computer faced increasing competition. While the Apple II was already established as a successful business-ready platform because of Visicalc, Apple was not content. The Apple III (Apple 3) was designed to take on the IBM PC in the business environment.

In December 12, 1980, Apple made its IPO for the investing public. When the company went public, it generated more capital than any IPO in the business history. Only Ford Motor company in 1953 is an exception. Another interesting point is this IPO created 300 millionaires for the company at the same day, more than any company in the history. Many of these investors cashed out, reaping billions in long-term capital gains.

Demotion of Steve Jobs and his resignation.

After an internal power struggle the board of directors sided with Sculley and Jobs was asked to resign. On May 31, 1985, Jobs was formally relieved of his positions as Apple VP and General Manager of the Mac department. Jobs had officially been stripped of all authority and was now solely an Apple chairman. The man who was the face of Apple now wielded now power at the company he co-founded 9 years earlier.

By early September, Jobs had had enough of his diminished role and decided to leave Apple altogether with the intention of forming a new venture. He subsequently told Apple’s board that he was leaving Apple to start a new company and that he’d be taking a few key executives and engineers along with him.

A few days later, Jobs handed a resignation letter to longtime Apple employee Mike Markkula (employee #3 behind Jobs and Woz). Jobs also forwarded a copy of the letter to Newsweek, presumably to garner public support. The resignation letter that Steve Jobs send to Mike is given below:

Dear Mike,

This morning’s papers carried suggestions that Apple is considering removing me as Chairman. I don’t know the source of these reports, but they are both misleading to the public and unfair to me.

You will recall that at last Thursday’s board meeting I stated that I had decided to start a new venture, and tendered my resignation as Chairman.

The board declined to accept my resignation and asked me to defer it for a week. I agreed to do so in light of the encouragement the Board offered with regard to the proposed new venture and the indications that Apple would invest in it. On Friday, after I told John Sculley who would be joining me, he confirmed Apple’s willingness to discuss areas of possible collaboration between Apple and my new venture.

Subsequently the Company appears to be adopting a hostile posture toward me and the new venture. Accordingly, I must insist upon the immediate acceptance of resignation. I would hope that in any statement it feels it must issue, the Company will make it clear the decision to resign as Chairman was mine.

I find myself both saddened and perplexed by the management’s conduct in this matter which seems to me contrary to Apple’s best interests. Those interests remain a matter of deep concern to me, both because of my past association with Apple and the substantial investment I retain in it.

I continue to hope that calmer voices within the Company may yet be heard. Some Company representatives have said they fear I will use proprietary Apple technology in my new venture. There is no basis for any such concern. If that concern is the real source of Apple’s hostility to the venture, I can allay it.

As you know, the company’s recent reorganization left me with no work to do and no access even to regular management reports. I am but 30 and want still to contribute and achieve.

After what we have accomplished together, I would wish our parting to be both amicable and dignified.

The Return of Steve Jobs:

In 1996, Apple announced that it would buy NEXTor $429 million. The deal was finalized in late 1996,bringing Jobs back to the company he had co-founded. Jobs became de facto chief after then-CEO Gil Amelio was ousted in July. He was formally named interim chief executive in September 1997. In March 1998, to concentrate Apple’s efforts on returning to profitability, Jobs terminated a number of projects, such as Newton and Cyberdog. In the coming months, many employees developed a fear of encountering Jobs while riding in the elevator, “afraid that they might not have a job when the doors opened. The reality was that Jobs’ summary executions were rare, but a handful of victims was enough to terrorize a whole company.

With the purchase of NeXT, much of the company’s technology found its way into Apple products, most notably NEXTSTEP, which evolved into Mac OSX. Under Jobs’s guidance the company increased sales significantly with the introduction of the iMac and other new products; since then, appealing designs and powerful branding have worked well for Apple. At the 2000 Macworld Expo, Jobs officially dropped the “interim” modifier from his title at Apple and became permanent CEO.Jobs quipped at the time that he would be using the title ‘iCEO.

Rest of the Apple’s story is history. From a multi billion dollar loss company, Steve Jobs helped Apple to re invent and positioned Apple as the most valuable and attractive techno company in the world now even surpassing Bill Gates’ Microsoft.
